As part of a collaborative project to promote the study of Asia in China, the Center for Global Asia at NYU Shanghai and the Asia Research Center at Fudan University are jointly offering a position of Postdoctoral Fellow, which is open to outstanding researchers holding PRC citizenship. The selection process will be based on academic merit and necessary budgetary approvals.
一、研究方向與職位說明 Research focus and position description
研究方向：“歷史上的中國和亞洲”，研究時(shí)限為1949年以前。
工作語言：中文和英文
職位說明：該職位為上海紐約大學(xué)環(huán)球亞洲研究中心博士后研究員（Postdoctoral Fellow），同時(shí)為復(fù)旦大學(xué)亞洲研究中心特約青年研究員。聘期為一年，從2023年9月1日開始，視任期表現(xiàn)可考慮延至兩年。
Research area: China's Asian Connections prior to 1949
Working language: English and Chinese
Position description: The person will have the title of “Postdoctoral Fellow” at Center for Global Asia at NYU Shanghai, and concurrently hold the title of “Junior Research Fellow” at the Asia Research Center at Fudan University. The fellowship starts on September 1, 2023 for a period of up to one year, with the possibility of an extension for a second year.
二、申請條件 Eligibility
中華人民共和國國籍，年齡不超過40周歲，具有國內(nèi)外知名大學(xué)人文社會科學(xué)專業(yè)博士學(xué)位（已獲得博士學(xué)位或在2023年8月15日前畢業(yè)并獲得學(xué)位的應(yīng)屆畢業(yè)生)，已發(fā)表有相關(guān)學(xué)術(shù)成果。優(yōu)先考慮英語水平較好、有海外學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)歷的優(yōu)秀青年學(xué)者。
Qualified applicants should be a citizen of China and below the age of 40 years. She/he should have received a doctoral degree from a reputable university in the field of humanities and social science before August 15, 2023. Publication in relevant field is desirable. Preference will be given to those who are fluent in English and have study-abroad experience.

上海紐約大學(xué)環(huán)球亞洲研究中心和復(fù)旦大學(xué)亞洲研究中心將為博士后研究員提供辦公設(shè)施、住宿和具有競爭力的薪酬待遇。研究員在一年聘期內(nèi)需至少遞交兩篇學(xué)術(shù)論文或一本書稿用于發(fā)表。研究員在完成自身科研工作同時(shí)，需承擔(dān)兩方合作項(xiàng)目的相關(guān)工作，包括并不僅限于集刊編輯出版、會議組織等。
The Center for Global Asia at NYU Shanghai and the Asia Research Center at Fudan University will jointly provide office facilities, accommodation and competitive stipend package to the postdoctoral fellow. The fellow should prepare and submit at least two academic articles or a book manuscript for publication during the fellowship period. In addition to research, the fellow will also be expected to assist in the collaborative activities between the two research institutions, including but not limited to editing newsletter and organizing conferences and workshops.
