Post Specification

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the safety management of the laboratories within the School;

2. Establish and implement the school-level laboratory safety management system, and formulate the laboratory safety work plan, safety operation procedures and contingency plan;

3. Management and maintenance of the School’s chemicals warehouse and assist in chemical waste treatment;

4. Liaise with the University Laboratory Safety Committee;

5. Undertake other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Master or above degree, major in chemistry, materials science, or a relevant area;

2. At least 3 years laboratory safety management or relevant experience in higher education institutions, or enterprises and institutions;

3. Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and social media tools (WeChat official accounts);

4. The ability to work independently, show initiative and take full responsibility for completion of tasks;

5. Good team player with strong organizational planning and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
